Get Experienced Legal Solutions for Estate Planning, Probate & More in Des Moines, Iowa
At Christina I. Thompson Law Offices, our attorneys strive to provide excellent service and experienced legal counsel to our clients along with the most critical thing an attorney can provide–honesty. We handle cases involving estates, probate, guardianships and conservatorships, mediation, collections, appeals, and more and work with families and small business owners. View our areas of service to learn more about how we can help.
If your case has problems, we’re going to tell you. If we see a risk for you, we’re going to tell you. We’ll also do our best to help you understand what all of your options are.
Sometimes the solution to a client’s legal problem is simple and straightforward, and we’ll tell you that rather than try to “upsell” you on services you don’t need. Sometimes there is no obvious solution to the problem–we’ll tell you that as well and guide you through your options under Iowa law. We want to help solve your problems–not cause you more problems.

Consult with Our Lawyers
We offer reduced-rate consultations for the first meeting you have with one of our attorneys on your case. A consultation with Christina I. Thompson or Riley T. Schoen is currently $75 for a half hour of time. A consultation with Phil Watson is $175.
During your initial consultation, you get to actually sit down with the attorney, show them the documents that you have and explain what’s going on, and get the attorney’s best evaluation of your options and the cost to move forward. If you want to consult with one of our attorneys, call our office at (515) 287-7000, and our staff will be happy to walk you through the scheduling process, check for any conflicts, and get you added to one of our calendars for a first meeting. Get to know each of our attorneys.
If you live outside the Des Moines metro area, phone consultations are available. If you are a homebound, hospitalized, or nursing home-bound individual needing help with estate planning, we’ll come to you for an additional trip charge that covers the travel time to visit someone away from the office.
